Dr. Susan M. Perz, Ph.D., LMFT, LPC is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a school counselor. "I hope that my children's picture books will bring you joy, smiles, and valuable ways of relating that make social-emotional learning fun!" Even though the stories are adorable, magical, and whimsical, the relational leadership skills they teach are research-based. I hope in capturing children's imaginations, that they are inspired to learn and try new skills that that boost their confidence, self-esteem, and enhance their relationships with themselves and others. Children start learning these skills at early ages and the stories they read give them examples of how to relate to themselves and others--and help them to imagine what is possible.
As a child, it was sad to outgrow children's picture books (although I still love them!) Many Bunny Friends books do bridge that gap for children who are older or higher readers, but still love lots of pictures. And of course, picture books can be for all ages! These kids books with beautiful and humorous illustrations make learning these skills fun!
